YCP Named a "Top Northern Liberal Arts College" and a "Best Value"

York, Pennsylvania--York College of Pennsylvania has again been ranked by U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges as a "top northern liberal arts college" and a "best value." York College offers the lowest tuition rate of any college ranked in those categories.

York College's high score is based on several indicators of academic quality including academic reputation, retention of students, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, alumni giving rate and graduation rate performance.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings were released on Sept. 1. A complete list of the rankings can be found on the magazine's Internet site, www.usnews.com.

York College is a private, independent institution offering a comprehensive array of bachelor's degree programs in the arts and sciences as well as professional programs. Full-time enrollment includes 3,900 students from 30 states and 36 foreign countries.

York College's slogan, "Excellence and value in private education," reflects the school's high academic standards and low tuition rate, which is currently $6,978 per year.

For the eleventh consecutive year, Barron's has also named York College of Pennsylvania a "best buy."
