Plays and Latin American Cultural Series Events Highlight Schedule
York, Pennsylvania--In October, York College will begin its cultural series, "A Celebration of Latin America." The month's entertainment schedule also includes two theatrical productions and three music concerts. All of these events are free and open to the public:
Oct. 1, "Tango Times!" Latin American dancing (A Celebration of Latin America), MAC Recital Hall, 3 p.m.
Oct. 4, 5, 6 & 7, The York College Players present "Carousel" by Rodgers & Hammerstein, 8 p.m. each evening in DeMeester Theater; reserve free tickets by calling the Box Office at (717) 815-1481. For general information, call (717) 815-1401.
Oct. 4, Comedy of Tommy Blaze, Spart's Den, 8 p.m.
Oct. 5, Chamba Francisco Acosta, lecture and presentation, "Activism Through Multimedia" (A Celebration of Latin America), MAC Recital Hall, 7 p.m.
Oct. 7, White Rose Men's Soccer League Match (A Celebration of Latin America), York College Soccer Field, 10:30 a.m.
Oct. 7, Homecoming Pops Concert, MAC Recital Hall, 2 p.m.
Oct. 9, Comedy of Stevie Starr, Spart's Den, 8 p.m.
Oct. 18, Oscar Arias, former president of Costa Rica, lecture and presentation (A Celebration of Latin America), Wolf Gymnasium, 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 21, Comedy of Dean Edwards, Spart's Den, 8 p.m.
Oct. 22, York College Candlelight Concert, Allen Barker, Piano, MAC Recital Hall, 3 p.m.
