York College Lauches New TV Show on Local Economy

"The IFRA Quarterly Report" Will Air Later This Month on WSPC

York, Pennsylvania--York College of Pennsylvania has launched a new, local television show that will focus on York County's economy. "The IFRA Quarterly Report" with Ken Slaysman will debut Sept. 27 on WSPC Cable 4.

"The IFRA Quarterly Report" is produced by York College's communications department in conjunction with the York College-York Federal Institute for Regional Affairs (IFRA). Ken Slaysman, Ph.D., York College professor and executive director of IFRA, will host the show, which will air on a quarterly basis on WSPC Cable 4.

The first episode will feature Michael Young, president and CEO of York International, and Janice Jackson, Ph.D., York College professor of business administration. The thirty-minute show will air at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 27, Oct. 4 and Oct. 11, and at 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 28, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12.

The second "IFRA Quarterly Report" is scheduled to air during the first three weeks of January 2001. Slaysman and his featured guests will discuss election results and their potential impact on the local and regional economy.

A partnership of York College and York Federal, The Institute for Regional Affairs is dedicated to evaluating the issues that shape the economic, political and social health of the region. The Institute conducts research as well as organizes and reports on information and events that impact the quality of life in Central Pennsylvania.
