2001 Economic Forecast Highlight of Quarterly Briefing

Nov. 29 Event Will Also Feature First Union Economist
(YORK, PA)--The York College-Waypoint Bank Institute for Regional Affairs (IFRA) will present its 2001 regional economic forecast on Nov. 29 at the Yorktowne Hotel in downtown York. The event, which begins at 7:30 a.m., is open to the public, but registration is required.
Dr. Ken Slaysman, executive director of IFRA, will deliver the organization's 2001 economic forecast and regular quarterly outlook for Central Pennsylvania. The featured guest speaker will be David Orr, chief economist of the First Union Corporation. Orr will focus on the national and global economy.

Waypoint Bank, IFRA's new partner, was recently formed by the merger of York Federal and Harris Savings Bank. The Institute for Regional Affairs is dedicated to evaluating the issues that shape the economic, political and social health of the region.
