York, Pennsylvania--In February, York College will celebrate Black History Month with musical and dance performances and a special guest lecture by renowned African-American artist Faith Ringgold, author of "Tar Beach." The College will also offer a variety of music concerts and two theatrical productions. All of these events are free and open to the public:

Jan. 31-Feb. 3, The York College Players present "Hispania" by Jules Tasca, 8 p.m. each evening in DeMeester Theater; reserve free tickets by calling the Box Office at (717) 815-1481. For general information, call (717) 815-1401.
Feb. 2, Faculty Recital, Susan Loy, alto saxophone, MAC Recital Hall, 3 p.m.
Feb. 4, Music of "Pan's Fancy," MAC Recital Hall, 4:30 p.m.
Feb. 8, Lecture by Paul Griner, "An Evening With the Author," Alumni Hall, 7 p.m.
Feb. 8, Comedy of "Hood," Spart's Den, 8 p.m.
Feb. 10, Junior Recital, Amy Webster, flute, MAC Recital Hall, 3 p.m.
Feb. 11, Music Concert, The Temple Guards and Sound of Grace Choir, DeMeester Theater, 4 p.m.
