Student Scholarship Day is April 23

York, Pennsylvania--What do exercise, gunshot residue and environmental crime have in common? They are all topics of research projects that will be presented on Student Scholarship Day.
York College's Fourth Annual Student Scholarship Day will be held on Monday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. More than 100 students who have recently completed a major academic study will display the results of their work or give an oral presentation in Campbell Hall. Additionally, art presentations will be held in MAC Art Gallery from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Student Scholarship Day is a once-a-year opportunity for academic departments to come together as one college body and celebrate scholastic achievement. By developing a focused presentation, students are able to showcase their interests and knowledge and provide inspiration for current and future students.
Two poster display sessions will be held in Campbell Hall. The first session will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, and the second session from noon to 2 p.m. The students who created the posters will be available for comments and questions during those times. Oral presentation sessions will begin at the top of each hour from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Campbell Hall classrooms.

"Gender Differences in the Ability to Recall Socially Related Information" (Poster 19, 10 a.m. to noon)
"The Detection of Metal Concentrations in Gunshot Residue" (Poster 51, 10 a.m. to noon)
"The Benefits of Exercise for Older Americans" (Poster 12, noon to 2 p.m.)
"The York County Teen Driving Survey" (Poster 14, noon to 2 p.m.)

"Environmental Crime Trends Within Pennsylvania" (Oral Presentation 1, 10 to 10:20 a.m. in Campbell Hall 227)
"Shifting Views of Native Americans: A Histographical Study" (Oral Presentation 50, noon to 12:15 p.m. in Campbell Hall 229)
