Students Raise Funds For Easter Seals

York, Pennsylvania – On Monday, December 8, 2003 students from York College presented a check to the Easter Seals of South Central Pennsylvania. The Recreation and Leisure Administration Special Events Management class raised $1,547. Students collected funds by selling tickets for the “WAC Fest,” held in Wolf Academic Center in November, which offered live music, food, games, prizes, sporting events, and crafts.
For more than 70 years, Easter Seals has been dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adults with disabilities and other special needs, and support to their families. The proceeds will benefit the Therapeutic Recreation Department of South Central Pennsylvania’s division of the nonprofit organization.
