York College of PA and the York-Adams Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America Present "Making Our Homeland Safe"

York, Pennsylvania -- York College of Pennsylvania and the York-Adams Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America will offer York City Academy school students a chance to participate in activity-rich presentations, enhanced by enrichment activities in Art, Music, Physical Recreation, and Computers. These activities will be presented by York College students from March 6-8 from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on the York College campus.
The presentations, entitled "Making Our Homeland Safe," will utilize the theme of safety from the Boy Scouts of America's "Learning for Life" program. The main lesson concepts of the presentations will include accidents, stranger danger, fire, school/playground, street/park, bike, first aid, meet a hero, safety spree, and graduation.
"Making Our Homeland Safe" will include York College's own "Safety Sentinel," and will close with a special awards ceremony. York City and County emergency, fire, safety, and police representatives will participate in the concluding activities. The program's "graduates" will receive a "Safety Sentinel ID Badge" in recognition of their participation and completion of the activities.
Parents, relatives, and family are invited to attend the closing ceremony Friday, March 8 at
1:30 p.m. in the MAC Recital Hall at York College.
