NBC News Correspondent Coming to YCP

York, Pennsylvania -- One of the country's most recognized reporters will be giving a lecture at York College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bob Arnot, former Chief Medical Editor for NBC, will speak Thursday, September 5 at 7 p.m. He was recently named the network's Special Foreign Correspondent, and will be talking about the War on Terrorism. Dr. Arnot has reported from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia since September 11.
Dr. Arnot plays an active role in international relief and serves on the Board of Directors of Save The Children and the U-N high Commission for refugees. He has written several books including: The Best Medicine, The Breast Cancer Prevention Diet, and The Biology of Success. Arnot's visit is part of the York Entertainment Series (YES!), which was developed through the Campus Activities Board. The purpose of YES! is to attract students to college activities that are both educational and entertaining.
The speech will be held in DeMeester Theater. Tickets are five dollars for the general public. They go on sale Monday, August 26 in the Campus Programming Center, located in room 121 of the Student Union Building. Call (717) 815-1239 for more information.
