Roscoe Orman to Visit York College

York, Pennsylvania -- Roscoe Orman, an accomplished actor and singer who's perhaps best known as "Gordon" on Sesame Street, is coming to York College of Pennsylvania. His visit is part of the York Entertainment Series, sponsored by the Campus Programming Center.

Roscoe Orman is a native of New York City who made his professional acting debut in 1962 with the Next Stage Theatre Company. In the 1970s he made the move to television and later to the big screen. TV audiences have seen him on such shows as "Sanford and Son," "Kojak," and "All My Children." Orman has been a part of Sesame Street since 1972. His film credits include "Willie Dynamite," "F/X," and "Elmo in Grouchland."

Orman will perform in York College's MAC Recital Hall on October 2 at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. For more information please call (717) 815-1239.
