Jazz Trio Coming to York College

York, Pennsylvania -- Jazz lovers are in for a real treat as York College of Pennsylvania hosts The Jeff Stabley Trio in concert September 7. The event is part of the college's Candlelight Concert Series. The trio, comprised of Steve Meashey, Kirk Reese, and Jeff Stabley, will perform jazz standards such as "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Emily" as well as selections that fall outside of the normal jazz repertoire.
Jeff Stabley is a drummer who teaches privately and works as a music instructor for developmentally challenged children in York. Steve Meashey, who's from Lebanon, PA, is a well-known bassist. He has played with a number of great musicians including Johnny Coles, John Campbell, and Steve Giordano. Rounding out the trio, Kirk Reese of York, has been playing the piano since he was five. Kirk is active in the Arts in Education in Pennsylvania public schools. He teaches jazz improvisation and piano in the York area.
The concert begins at 3 p.m. on the 7th in MAC Recital Hall, and is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. For more information you may call the York College Department of Music at (717) 815-1354.
