Ten York College Sport Management majors are spending the week working at the Superbowl.
The students are accompanied by faculty members Rich Achtzehn and Dexter Davis, a visiting instructor who has been taking students to the event for several years. While there, students will volunteer at the NFL Experience, a temporary theme park that simulates various aspects of the game for the public during the week of the Super Bowl. In addition, they will work with NFL on Location, a hospitality group dedicated to creating unique experiences for football fans.
On Saturday, they will serve as ushers and security at DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl. And during the big game on Sunday, they will be working at the Superbowl with NFL on Location (their assignment is a secret!). Post-game, they will escort fans to participate in an on-field activities hosted by NFL on Location.
The group will return to York on Feb. 5. They are chronicling their experience on twitter: @yorkcollege1.
