York College to host Spring Garden Township’s Aug. 2 National Night Out event

York College will host and sponsor Spring Garden Township’s National Night Out event from 6 – 8 p.m., Aug. 2, in the parking lot of Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center, 899 South Richland Ave., York. The event is open to the public free of charge.

National Night Out will include food, music, face painting, balloon twisting, a bounce house, dunk tank, softball speed throw and other games. Music will be provided by the band “Vinyl Souls.” Trucks and cars from the public works, and fire and police departments will be on site. 

National Night Out is a community family event designed for neighbors to get to know neighbors and work together to prevent crime. For more information, contact the Spring Garden Township Recreation Department at 717-854-7282 or the Police Department at 717-843-0851. No rain date is scheduled for this event. Please check the township website at www.springgardentwp.org for any cancellation notices.
