Learning Resource Center
Description: The York College Learning Resource Center hosts a variety of academic support services that offer all York College students the opportunity to learn in an active, collaborative, supportive environment. Our staff consists of both peer and professional tutors and consultants. The LRC offers writing assistance for all writing assignments in every course, math tutoring, study skills assistance, tutoring for selected courses, study groups, workshops on a variety of topics, review sessions, and accommodations for students with disabilities. It is our goal to help all students become engaged learners so that they will achieve academic success. Call 815-1296 for an appointment, drop by Humanities 01, or log on to your MyYCP "For Students" tab and follow the links for the Learning Resource Center online appointment system. Use our Writing Lab in HC 06 to write your papers for every course. We offer computers, printing, writing tutors to answer your questions or review your draft, and resources such as the MLA & APA handbooks. The Instructional Technology Department assists student with computerskills and Blackboard use.
