"We hope that the quality of student presentations will improve, that their written work submitted, such as term papers and lab reports will all take advantage of the new technologies and form processing.  For instance, in Chemistry, we often times want to format a complicated equation.

There are tools that allow that to be done very professionally.  That is what we are going to expect from our students. This is going to be the new standard in taking these skills outside of the York College experience, not only preparing them for course work, but in their presentations they'll give certainly as professionals. They will always be able to use these skills as they continue through life."

"For employment purposes, I think it [ability to use computer applications] is going to be important because... employers are looking toward hiring students who have some familiarity and some ability to use these technologies. Having our students have these capabilities in their arsenals will make them much more marketable in the job force."
