HOW TO CONNECT TO COYOTE ON CAMPUS
Two ways to start the session:
  1. From the Microsoft Office Shortcut bar (upper right hand corner of window)  Click the button that looks like a small computer (TVNT) 
  2. Click the Start button (lower left hand corner of monitor) 
    • Click Programs 
    • Click OnNet  Host Suite 4.0
    • Click TNVTplus 
    • the New Session dialog box opens 

 

New Session dialog box:
  1. In Host: type coyote and click Connect 
  2. The Session – TVNTPlus window will open 
 
Log into Coyote
  1. Type in your ID at the Login: prompt 
  2. Type in your password at the Password: prompt 
  3.  If you mistype either, you have an unlimited number of times to correct your mistake 
  4.  If you’ve tried several times, to no avail, contact the Information Resources Help Desk (located in the Business Administration Building, room BA103.) 
  5. At the coyote% prompt type a command (e.g., passwd) or program name (e.g., pine)
Logout of Coyote
  1. At the end of a Coyote session, it is good form to log out. 
  2. Exit the program you are using
  3. At the coyote% prompt, type exit or logout 
  4. The computer will confirm that the session is closed 
  5. Close the session window by clicking the X box in the upper right hand corner of the Session window. 
  6.  Do not save session. 
  7. This will return you to your computer desktop. 
  8. Remember to log out of the machine if you are done using it.
