York College provides all students with a free perpetual subscription to McAfee VirusScan Enterprise. In addition to this software we also recommend numerous other programs that you may find helpful.

Virus Info for Students:

ALL personal machines ( machines not owned by York College ) that will be connected to the network must pass a Registration Process.

All Student machines MUST have the specific McAfee Product that is provided by York College. Information Technology strongly encourages students to download and install this software before arrival on campus.

The York College Information Technology Department offers an anti-virus and anti-spyware solution that is available for student use at no cost. McAfee® Antivirus® and McAfee® Anti-Spyware® will be available for students running Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or higher, while McAfee® Virex® for Macintosh^TM will only be available to students for MAC OSX 10.2.6, 10.2.8, 10.3x, 10.4x; Mactel 10.4.4 and later.

Packets containing a valid YCP network username and password will be mailed home or be available for pickup for new students.
These McAfee products will be available to download from myYCP ( http://my.ycp.edu/ ) under the "For Students" Tab after you receive your password.
