History Majors

Students majoring in history have a wide variety of career choices available to them. Significantly, more and more corporations and businesses are recognizing that students studying the liberal arts, such as history, bring to business writing and analytical skills that aid in planning, problem solving, and management. Political Science Majors

Since it combines both humanistic and scientific perspectives to examine the behavior of individuals, groups and nations, a major in political science prepares students for a wide variety of career opportunities in the private and public sectors. Some career options include: business, government (national, state and local), international affairs, lobbying, policy analysis, publishing, mass media, journalism, urban planning, budget analyst, legislative assistant, program evaluation, research specialist, politics, editing, marketing, teaching, housing, police work, public affairs, public administration, banking, insurance. While there is no single preferred major for law school, a considerable number of political science majors do pursue law as a career.
