Secondary Social Studies

The philosopy of the Deartment of History and Political Science is to teach history, political science, geography, economics, psychology, sociology, and anthropology in such a way as to provide the student with a significant degree of competency in these areas and to challenge the student to confront the fundamental questions of life.  We believe Secondary Social Studies teachers will be able to teach effectively in the areas of the Secondary Education  Curriculum.
