To teach in the discipline of Secondary Education is an opportunity to affect human lives with a most profound contribution for individual maturation. York College provides each matriculation student a variety of academic disciplines through the Liberal Arts Program. Secondary Education provides six areas of preparation for Certification by the State of Pennsylvania: Biology, Communication, English, General Sciences, Mathematics, and Social Studies. Each Department in the Liberal Arts Division welcomes your inquiry and provides counseling in assisting students in making this career decision. In addition, the education office time is available for consultation for those considering a possible future as a professional teacher.
