SUGGESTION: For a week, make a list of the things you absolutely need at home every day, then plan to bring them. Also check with your roommate to avoid duplication of certain items like a TV, stereo, microwave, refrigerator, rug....
* In each residence hall room, there are telephone, cable, and internet jacks available free to the students. Refrigerators and microwaves are available to rent through QPS Marketing; see www.qpsmarketing.com for details. Rugs will be made avilable for sale at the beginning of the fall semester; see your room assignment packet for details.
Prohibited Items:
The following items are considered dangerous and/or illegal and are not permitted anywhere on campus:
- Alcoholic beverages, paraphernalia, or containers (full, empty, or otherwise)
- Weapons and/or firecrackers, firearms, ammunition, bows and arrows, knives
- Explosives, highly combustible materials
- Any burning substances (candles, incense, etc.), open fire or flame
- Non-prescription drugs and paraphernalia
- Air conditioners
- Cooking appliances of any kind except in College houses or apartments
- Electrical devices with frayed wires
- "Caution flashers," stolen articles such as road signs
- Pets and/or animals of any kind (except fish)
- Refrigerators larger than 1.5 amp and 3.6 cubic feet
- Microwaves larger than 700 watts
- Anything to hang on walls which require nails or adhesive materials which will damage walls
