The New Student Record The New Student Record is a directory of new students attending York College this year. Included are photos, personal information, and information about the College for your review. If you have previously ordered one, your copy will be delivered to your home address during early August. Laundry: For your convenience, each residence has coin-operated washers and dryers with the exception of Richland Hall. Student's are able to you flex cards in the following buildings: Country Club Manor, Brockie Commons, Richland Hall, Spring Garden, Susquehanna Hall, Tyler Run III, Penn Hall, Beard Hall, Manor North and Manor Northeast. The College is not responsible for any loss or damage to student belongings. If machines become inoperable, please report any loss of money or malfunction to the Campus Programming Center office. The current cost is $1.00 to wash and $1.25 to dry. At each laundry site there is a log to write down money loss. Reimbursements are given on a monthly basis.
Phones & phone codes Although phones are not provided by the school, all on-campus assignments are provided telephone service through a joint venture involving York College and CTI (Capital Telecommunications Inc.). The service provides on-campus, local, and long distance access. Long distance rates significantly discounted 10 cents a minute all day everyday. To purchase a long distance phone code the cost is a $75 deposit for the year. CTI will be on campus the first week of September for registration. For more information or call CTI, located at 200 W. Refrigerator and Microwave rentals: Refrigerators (3.6 cubic feet/1.5 amps) with freezers and refrigerator/microwave combos are available to rent through QPS Marketing. The refrigerator rental cost for the academic year is approximately $87. A microwave/refrigerator combo is available for $148. Orders received by August 18, 2006 will be placed in the students rooms before their arrival. TV Cable: York College provides free cable TV access to all Residents. All dorm rooms and apartments have a cable jack. The student will need to provide the coaxial cable to connect their television to the outlet.
