Religious Organizations

Newman Club (Catholic Campus Ministry)
The Newman Club is a national religious organization that fosters and promotes the welfare of all college students. It can include members of the faculty, staff and others in the community but the officers are Collegians in the upper-class levels. The Newman Club is a unique social organization, which supports the Catholic Campus Ministry. It helps with the college Masses in the Brougher Chapel, supports interfaith dialogue, community service, and holds social events just about every week. Students are encouraged to come together to pray, to socialize and to celebrate their Catholicism.

Hillel
This national organization offers spiritual guidance and other activities to YCP's students of the Jewish faith. The YCP chapter was formed by interested students, faculty, administrators, and members of the local community to facilitate the special needs of Jewish students at York College.

Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship
A group of students, faculty and staff at York College who gather to meet and be renewed by Jesus.  As they try to follow Christ faithfully, they hope to help each other and those around around them to live a full life through Jesus as well as receiving a college education.  With relationships with God and the credentials of college graduates, they can go into the world and bring God's kingdom and lordsip in love, where life takes them.  Affiliated with Inter-Varsity are groups, Athletes for Christ and Fellowship of Nurses.

Christian Fellowship Organization
The Christian Fellowhip Organization is a student led Christian organization that supports service, faith, and fellowship with theYork College commuity. Students o all Christian denominatios and hurches are welcome to come together to share in belief in ne Lord and one faith.

Council on Religious Activities
The council has been established to provide support and input to the campus chaplains ministering to the YCP community and serves as a means of communication among the different religious groups on campus. It plans and coordinates programs for inter-faith activities on campus and provides informational materials on religious resources. The council is composed of the campus chaplains, the Coordinator of Religious Activities and representatives of the YCP administration, faculty, and student body. Interfaith programs are planned and coordinated by the Council on Religious Activities, the religious organizations, and the College chaplains in conjunction with the Coordinator of Religious Activities. The council and religious staff work to foster an atmosphere on campus which will enhance an awareness of the spiritual dimensions of life.
