Wellness is a vital component of our daily lives. It is an evolving process in which individuals develop and enhance all aspects of their well-being. The six components of wellness, utilized at York College of Pennsylvania, that encompass a healthy lifestyle include Physical, Emotional, Cultural, Intellectual, Occupational and Social.
The Residence Life staff provides a variety of programs that are centered around the "wellness wheel" and the Office of Residential Programs and Campus Wellness sponsors campus-wide programs to promote healthy living. The Peer Education Network is an extension of the Office of Campus Wellness that also plays a vital role in promoting wellness on York's campus. Programs sponsored include Alcohol Awareness Week, Wellness Days, the First Annual Banana Day, Breast Cancer Awareness, Sun Safety/Awareness, Sexual Responsibility and Awareness programs, and many more. Please contact our office if you have an interest in getting involved or if you have questions about our programs and efforts!
