The Community Outreach Office is devoted to connecting students to local agencies in York County who need volunteers. On average, YCP students spend 15,000 hours doing community service at 60 local agencies. Volunteer opportunities can be found in the Service Learning Manual, The Spartan newspaper, The Daily Bulletin, and posted on the Community Service Bulletin Board outside of SU 124.
Students at York College who volunteer have found their experiences to be rewarding and enriching. Not only do they obtain leadership and life skills, new friendships and a higher sense of importance are formed.
