Description:
Community Outreach and Multicultural Affairs at York College serves many functions. Community Outreach fosters positive interactions with the surrounding community while addressing the college’s own needs for student development and by providing use of campus facilities, educational training programs, as well as cultural and social activities. As an equal opportunity provider of education, York College utilizes a variety of methods to cultivate a diverse student body. The College strives to have a campus climate that sets a positive tone for learning and for healthy interaction, formally and informally, among College community members. In all aspects of student life, multicultural affairs strives to create an environment in which all persons interact harmoniously, demonstrating respect for the rights of others and commitment to lifelong academic freedom and lifelong freedom of conscience.
