Each Greek letter organizations will receive the support of the Student Senate, Greek Council, and Administration of York College; be assisted in remaining on campus; and enjoy the privileges of a recognized organization as long as it strives to carry out its responsibilities.
Greek Expectation and Requirements
1. All Greek members must maintain a cumulative G.P.A of a 2.3. All groups must maintain a group cumulative G.P.A. of a 2.5 or higher.
2. All Greek organizations must participate in at least two community service projects per semester. These projects must be approved by the Greek Council Advisor(s) and registered with the Greek Council Advisor(s).
3. All Greek organizations must hold at least one anti-hazing program and one substance abuse program per year for their entire chapter.
4. All members of Greek organizationals must attend one leadership S.T.Y.L.E program per semester.
5. All members of Greek organizations must attend one Student Activities program a month. This program will be determined by the Director of Student Activities. Most programs will deal with topics such as alcohol awareness, hazing, diversity, or leadership.
6. All greek organization presidents must meet with the Greek Council Advisor(s) once a month.
7. All Greek Week t-shirts should be in good taste and approved by the Greek Council Advsior(s).
8. Students in Greek organizations should wear letters of official groups recognized by York College and the Student Senate. Letters respresenting old chapters are not recognized and should not be worn.

Alpha Chi Rho (National Fraternity)
Started in 1895 at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, the Fraternity boasts 37 active Chapters, 5 active colonies, and 2 interest groups. Alpha Chi Rho is a Charter member of the North-American Interfraternity Conference.
The RB Stewart National Headquarters building in Neptune, New Jersey became the official headquarters of the National Fraternity in 1983. The Headquarters houses the offices of the national, and Educational Foundation staff, the Arthur F. Searing Conference room, an archives room, a Ritual room, and the consultant and intern quarters. Tours of the facility are welcomed during business hours.
The Fraternity provides many services to its undergraduates and alumni. Scholarships, loans, and grants are available through the Alpha Chi Rho Educational Foundation. Social events for alumni are run throughout the year around the country.
Alpha Delta Phi (National Fraternity)
Alpha Delta Phi is a men's social and service organization. Membership is open to all full-time students at York College. This fraternity is designed to promote activities not only at York College but also throughout the community. See any fraternity member for information and membership. Alpha Sigma Tau (National Sorority)
The Gamma Iota Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau promotes trust, unity, friendship, and a strong bond of sisterhood. AST is dedicated to being active and involved with campus and community service. They strongly encourage and support Greek unity at YCP. AST is a unique and exciting sorority open to College females with a 2.3 G.P.A.
Delta Phi Epsilon (International Sorority)
March 17, 1917, marks the start of this sorority. They were founded at New York University of Law by five women who wanted to provide an opportunity for life-long friendships based on unity, honesty, and trust. A special bond lies within - one that creates unity and allows dedication to the chapter. Their motto, "To be rather than to seem to be," represents each member. Their ideas of dedication, pride, and excellence revolve around their 5 S's: Sisterhood, Social, Scholarship, Service, and Self. Through these ideals they are involved in a variety of activities on and off campus. Together they share good times, accomplish goals, and form a basis for lasting memories.
Kappa Delta Phi-NAS (National Sorority)
Kappa Delta Phi-NAS is built with a foundation that is family oriented, but also stresses individualism. Together they are the pieces of a puzzle that fit together; individually they are all shaped differently. They live by three words, Sisterhood, Friendship, and Unity and proudly display these characteristics among themselves as well as other Greeks. Their individual characteristics and the willingness to be a part of the Greek system are what make Kappa Delta Phi-NAS the unique sorority they are today.
Kappa Delta Rho (National Fraternity)
Kappa Delta Rho stands as a monument to the dream of our ten founders in their quest for developing educated gentlemen who promote human dignity, positive relationships among men, and moral excellence of the highest ideals. The purposes of this fraternity are to:
Promote good fellowship among its members and the advancement of truth, justice, and virtue as
exemplified by our Latin motto: Honor Super Omnia Promote scholarship and provide an environment as a means for students to learn how to apply the knowledge acquired from the classroom and their fraternity experience
Promote the dignity of social involvement through service to the college, to the community, and to their fellow man during their college careers in lieu of "hazing" activities which are both degrading to the human body and the human mind.
Phi Kappa Psi (National Fraternity)
Phi Kappa Psi is a national fraternity that was established in 1852. The group was inducted at York College on October 6, 1990, as a colony. On May 2, 1991, the colony was initiated as the 131st Chapter of Kappa Psi. The Pennsylvania Rho Chapter offers a diverse group of athletic, social, scholastic, and moral men. Phi Psi is open to all males who meet the national fraternity and YCP requirements. It is with the highest tradition of Phi Kappa Psi that it devotes itself to campus and community services. Phi Mu (National Sorority)
Phi Mu is an international sorority that was founded in 1852. Phi Mu is a social and service organization designed for women. An important characteristic of this sorority is the individualism each member possesses plus unity and friendships formed through being a sister. The purpose of this organization is to provide services for the campus and community, as well as their national philanthropies (Project Hope and Children's Miracle Network). Phi Mu also provides social activities for its members and an opportunity to live in an on-campus sorority house that houses eight women. Membership is open to any full-time female student with at least a 2.0 G.P.A. enrolled at York College. Proud, principled, progressive - Phi Mu.
Phi Sigma Sigma (International Sorority)
Founded in 1913 at Hunter College in New York, Phi Sigma Sigma is the oldest national sorority on York College's campus becoming national in the spring of 1989. The mission statement of Phi Sigma Sigma is to inspire the personal development of each sister and perpetuate the advancement of womanhood. The vision is a dynamic sisterhood of strong women fostering principles, igniting positive change, and embracing individuality. Our core values are lifelong learning, inclusiveness, and leadership through service. As Phi Sigma Sigma we continue to Aspire, Act, and Achieve in all that we do: academics, philanthropy, social, leadership, and service to our campus and community.
Phi Sigma Phi (National Fraternity)
Since they were founded in 1969, Phi Sigma Phi has been an obvious leader on YCP's campus. The fierce competitive edge of their brothers is demonstrated on and off the field through scholastic, athletic, and philanthropic activities. They strive for balance in their lives and expect nothing less of anyone who seeks admission into their fraternity. Their hearts are shown in everything they do. Phi Sigma Phi makes men into leaders and followers into men.
Sigma Delta Tau (National Sorority)
Founded March 25, 1917 at Cornell University, the Gamma Phi chapter of Sig Delt works hard to maintain the ideals of their seven founding women. As their motto states, their sisterhood is: "One hope of many people." The keys to their sisterhood lie within the petals of their flower, the Golden Tea Rose; belonging, family, friendship, and love. As a service oriented group, the girls of SDT devote much of their time to the National Committee for the Prevention of Child Abuse (NCPCA), their National Philanthropy. This group of individuals works together to reach and maintain their goals: Trust, Unity, and Respect. Sigma Delta Tau creates bonds of sisterhood that will last a lifetime! Sigma Pi (International Fraternity)
Sigma Pi is an international fraternity open to all males in good academic standing. Sigma Pi offers a different outlook on fraternal life. Their goals are to establish brotherhood, maintain an aristocracy of learning, and to develop character.
Tau Kappa Epsilon (International Fraternity)
Tau Kappa Epsilon is the oldest International fraternity at YCP. TKE, at York College, was founded in 1977 and was one of the first fraternities established. The goal of TKE is to help develop York College students both academically and socially. This is accomplished through love, charity, and esteem, the three basic principles of TKE. TKE was honored by the College in previous years winning the "Honor Scoop" Award, which is given to the Greek organization who promotes the most outstanding community and campus service. Membership is open to full-time male students who meet the academic requirements set forth by the College.
Zeta Beta Tau (International Fraternity)
Zeta Beta Tau, or ZBT, is an international fraternity founded in 1898. It started at York College in 1986 as Beta Alpha Chi fraternity and then became ZBT in 1989. ZBT opens its membership to all undergraduate full-time male students of high academic and social standards. This group of men constantly works with the school and the community to create the highest level of excellence. This fraternity completes your college experience by combining academics, social awareness, and community involvement making it "Great to be a ZBT!"
