Job Description:  Promotes a safe and healthy atmosphere in the natatorium to prevent injuries. Responsible for the administration of the facility Emergency Action Plan protocol and for the supervision and education of bathers. Additional off-duty responsibilities include: cleaning and general maintenance of the natatorium.  Reports to Aquatics Supervisor.

Requirements:  Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification or the equivalent, as designated byPennsylvania statute; and a current American Red Cross CPR/AED certification for the Professional Rescuer.

Educational Value: Lifeguard / Aquatics Supervision experience

Job Description:  Monitors member/guest authorized access to the facility; provides general information regarding all facility usage areas and programming to include: recreational sports programs, classroom schedules, athletic and special events, directs visitors to designated locations throughout the facility; answers/redirects phone calls and assists with administrative office tasks as needed.  Strong emphasis is placed in customer service and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:  No previous experience required.  American Red Cross CPR/AED certification preferred.

Job Description:  Monitors the authorized distribution of athletic equipment, equipment rentals, uniforms, practice gear, locker assignments, and towels to all users; coordinates the laundering of towels, practice gear, and uniforms for varsity sports, intramurals, adhering to OSHA guidelines and standards of care.

Requirements:  No previous experience required.  American Red Cross CPR/AED certification preferred.

Educational Value:  Customer Service / Inventory Control experience

Job Description:  Monitors member/guest authorized access to the fitness center; provides general information regarding all fitness center services; responsible for enforcing fitness center rules and regulations.  Monitors the participants of the fitness center by promoting safety and proper usage of equipment through appropriate supervision; schedules/provides fitness center orientations to users; monitors fitness center area for safety, order and cleanliness; monitors equipment for proper function and safety; provides assistance in spotting, proper lifting techniques and equipment operation; signing out fitness center equipment, registering group exercise classes, answering phone calls and assists with administrative office tasks as needed. 

Requirements:  No previous experience required.  Professional Rescuer CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certifications preferred.

Educational Value:  Customer Service / Fitness Supervision experience

Climbing Wall Monitor

Job Description:  Monitors member authorized access to the climbing wall; provides general information regarding all climbing wall services, responsible for enforcing all climbing wall rules and regulations, ensures completion of liability waivers, monitors the safety of climbers on the wall and general wall maintenance.  Strong emphasis is placed in customer service.

Requirements:  All training is provided and climbing experience preferred.  Professional Rescuer CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certifications preferred. 

Educational Value:  Customer Service / Recreational Supervision experience
