Group Exercise

With our new Athletic and Recreation facility, we now have the opportunity to offer Drop-In Group Exercise classes to our users. These classes are free of charge and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Below you will find our current class schedule and a description for each class. Check back for updates throughout the semester as this schedule may change to better fit the needs and wants of our users.

Class Descriptions (All fitness levels are welcome!)

Pilates: This class focuses on improving flexibility and strength using the fundamental exercises of Pilates & Yoga. All fitness levels are welcome as you work with your own ability!

Yoga: Challenge mind and body with Yoga in the Iyengar style. Learning precision in alignment will teach you to practice the asana (posture) safely while building muscular strength and endurance. Attention to breathing promotes calmness and equanimity. This class is meditation in movement!

Power Abs: A complete workout for your entire midsection...shape and tone your upper & lower abs, side and back.

Step & Pump: Get in shape for Spring Break! Combo class of step and strength for all fitness levels.

Zumba: A popular fitness program inspired by Latin dance. "Zumba" comes from a Columbian word that means to move fast and have fun. Using upbeat Latin music together with cardiovascular exercise Zumba is aerobic dancing that is lots of fun and easy to learn.

Extreme Training: This class is a complete workout. A mega calorie burner with a Brazilian edge; involving weight training, upper and lower body work, abs and Pilates. Cardio, strength and flexibility all in one class!

Body Sculpting: The perfect compliment of cardio...45 minutes of toning and lengthening of the upper and lower body. Use of free weights, resistance bands and medicine balls included. Pair with Power Abs for head-to-toes results!

Cardio Kickbox: A high energy class that combines aerobic kickboxing moves, balance work & intense drills. Intermediate level.

Cardio-Pilates: A refreshing combination of various Pilates movements and fat-burning cardio exercise. By integrating Pilates moves with dynamic, energy-infused motion, Cardio Pilates revs up calorie burn, multiple results and improves cardio health; while also delivering the strengthening & body-reshaping effects that have made Pilates one of today's most popular fitness techniques. Great for any fitness level!

Pilates Xpress: Great for those on the run!! 45 minute flowing Pilates class -- quick review of fundamentals followed by intense flowing classical Pilates matwork. An ideal method of body conditioning for strength, flexibility and completely reshaping your body while developing deep core muscles. All fitness levels are welcome.
