Faculty - Finance - The Department of Business Administration at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications and nominations for a tenure track position in Finance at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2008. This is a new position created to support the growing Finance major. The individual chosen for this position will be able and willing to teach a variety of Finance courses in the undergraduate level and the core Finance course in the MBA program. The successful candidate will be academically prepared in finance, through either an earned doctorate in finance or an earned doctorate in another business discipline with at least 21 graduate credits in finance. Candidates with the DBA or DPA will be considered provided they meet the 21 credits in finance criterion. Faculty - Microbiology - A full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor is available in the Department of Biological Sciences at York College of Pennsylvania beginning in August 2008. The appointee will be primarily responsible for teaching a 200-level Microbiology course (lecture and lab) for Allied Health and Nursing majors, focused on the medical fields. While teaching Microbiology will be the primary responsibility, the successful candidate will also teach a related course for non-science majors. Serving as an academic advisor to Biology majors and involving undergraduates in ongoing research projects will also be required. The opportunity to design an upper division elective course for majors in the candidate’s area of scientific expertise may exist. We are seeking a Director to assume leadership and administrative responsibilities for a new Nurse Practitioner MS program. Faculty - Special Education - The Department of Education at York College of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for a full time tenure-track appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level beginning August 2008. The individual will teach and advise students and assist in the implementation of the dual certification program in Elementary Education/Special Education. The candidate should have an established record of classroom experience teaching students with high and low incidence disabilities (N - 12th grades.) The candidate should demonstrate the ability to effectively teach a variety of courses involving cognitive, behavior, physical/health disabilities (CBP/HD) at the undergraduate level. Grounds Crew - Mechanic - Full-time staff Grounds Crew - Mechanic position available immediately. Responsibilities include general grounds keeping and utility tasks, as well as performing mechanical repairs to care for and maintain all College grounds, buildings and related facilities and equipment. Requires High School diploma or equivalent, trade school or certification training helpful. Experience in small engine repairs; diesel maintenance; and ability to follow assembly drawings, electrical schematics and parts diagrams necessary. Working knowledge of hydraulics systems; welding equipment; lawn care and landscaping practices will be helpful.
