MAKING A DECISION about which college you will call your second home for the next four years can be done many ways, including simply flipping a coin. We at York College believe that one of the better ways is to narrow your selection to a few colleges that meet your criteria, such as program, size and location, and then visit the campus of each college. The purpose of the campus visit is to take a firsthand look at the College's setting and facilities, talk to students, and experience the campus atmosphere.
We welcome your visit to York College and hope you have a very enjoyable and informative stay with us. The Admissions Office schedules individual appointments weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a group presentation on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. There are no Saturday hours after April 4th through September 30th. Appointments for both weekdays and Saturdays should be made in advance.
ELEMENTS OF THE CAMPUS VISIT

The Individual Appointment - You may have already met a counselor from York College by way of a telephone call or visit to your high school. The interview is a time to get acquainted. Our Counselors are here to help you in every way they can, so during your appointment, be sure to ask lots of questions. We want to learn about your college expectations in order to help you determine if York College can meet those needs.

Tour - During your visit to campus, a student guide will show you through our facilities and answer general questions about student life, sports, and activity programs.

Financial Aid - A visit with the Financial Aid Office may help ease your financial worries about attending college. We do suggest that you schedule an appointment in advance of your visit and bring your specific questions with you to that scheduled meeting.

Faculty Appointment - The Faculty at York College are well qualified in their fields and we are proud of their accomplishments. While on campus, you may want to speak with a professor related to your area of interest. Please make this request of the Admissions Office when you schedule your campus visit.
