2007-2008 Academic Achievement Scholarships
Trustee Scholarship- A competitive full tuition scholarship for ten entering first-time, full-time freshman who graduated in the top one-fifth of their high school class and have a combined SAT I score of 1210 or higher with a minimum score of 540 on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 29 (optional writing test required) with a minimum score of 24 on the math and English sections.
Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarships- One-half tuition scholarship for entering first-time, full-time, freshman who were valedictorians or salutatorians of their high schools and have a combined SAT I score of 1150 or higher with a minimum score of 540 on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 26 (optional writing test required) with a minimum score of 24 on the math and English sections.
Dean's Academic Scholarship- A one-third tuition scholarship for one hundred fifty entering first-time, full-time freshman who have graduated in the upper two-fifths of their high school class and have a combined SAT I score of 1150 or higher with a minimum score of 540 on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 26 (optional writing test required) with a minimum score of 24 on the math and English sections.
Honors Program
Eligibility for Participation:
-Students must apply and be accepted to the college
-Preference is given to students who achieved a combined SAT I score of 1210 or higher (math and critical reading sections only) and who also rank in the top one-fifth of their high school graduating class, however, acceptance into the program is not rigidly based on scores
Options for Participation:
-May participate simply on a course-by-course basis
OR
-May enroll in any number of honors courses
Program Requirements: for recognition at commencement as an "Honors Program Graduate"
-Complete at least 20 honors credits
-Complete an Honors Project (typically in the student's major)
-Complete a Service Component
-Attain an overall G.P.A. of 3.30
