Kinsley Engineering Center

The Kinsley Engineering Center, home to mechanical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering and computer science, was renovated from a historic factory in 2008. Faculty, staff and students all contributed in the design of the building and the result is an exceptional facility for undergraduate engineering and computer science education. The building contains modern equipment, facilities, classroom spaces, offices, laboratories, a conference room and fabrication space. All of the engineering majors and the computer science major are housed under one roof to facilitate interdisciplinary projects and interactions between the faculty and staff.

Engineering and Computer Science students have access to the Kinsley Engineering Center 24/7 (off hours access is via a key-card access system). Students that have classes associated with a particular laboratory or the open access computer lab will also have 24/7 key-card access to that laboratory. Regular and computer classrooms are typically unlocked from 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. daily and are available for individual student work when no class is in progress.

The Kinsley Engineering Center (KEC), located on West Campus, provides:

  • Wireless Connectivity
  • 24/7 card swipe access to the building
  • Canteen area with vending machines
  • Student commons area and study nooks
  • Student lockers

In addition there are:
