Spring on the York College campus

Sport Management Student Association

The Sport Management Student Association (SMSA) is a student-run organization working to provide any students at York College with an interest in sport management a channel through which his/her in-class college experience can be supplemented with opportunities to further develop as a professional.

Every year SMSA provides students with numerous opportunities to gain experience in different aspects of the Sport Industry — you'll get to meet people working for professional sports organizations, attend conferences and games, and more. A few past experiences:

  • SEME Conference in Washington, D.C
  • Ivy Sport Symposium in New York, NY
  • Facility tours of Wells Fargo Center, Penn State University, and the Hershey Bears Arena
  • Game-day assistance for D.C United
  • NFL on Location Volunteers for Super Bowl XVLII
  • Hilton Head Volunteers
The Sport Management Student Association at York College visited a 76ers game in 2014.
The Sport Management Student Association goes on group trips to pro games, organizes events on campus, and meets the kind of sports industry professionals they one day hope to work with!
