Spanish Major

Our Spanish major's innovative curriculum recognizes the demand in practically every work setting for individuals who are competent in Spanish. We offer you the opportunity to become proficient in the Spanish language by designing a program that refines your writing, speaking, comprehension and reading abilities. We also help you improve your research skills. You can select a minor from a wide range of disciplines, and to further hone your skills, take advantage of several study abroad programs.

Alumni Stories

Amanda Zimmerman Amanda Zimmerman ‘06 (York, Pa.) attributes much of her current success to the many outstanding professors she studied with at York College.

With dual degrees in Spanish and secondary education English, Amanda went on to become a Spanish teacher at Northeastern High School in Manchester, Pa., where she also serves as a curriculum council member, National Spanish Honor Society advisor and chair of world languages, among other roles.
