French (Minor)

The French minor emphasizes the acquisition of skills in all aspects of the language - listening comprehension, reading, speaking, writing and cultural understanding.  Knowledge of French gives students a competitive edge when entering careers that seek applicants who are able to communicate in one of the six official languages of the United Nations.  Students learn about cultural diversity and become more aware of their own world view and that of other people around the world.

See more information about the French minor, including course requirements, in the course catalog.
