Wind Symphony

The Wind Symphony is a concert band open to experienced instrumentalists who desire to develop a higher degree of musicianship and to master performance skills. Music majors with a wind instrument as their primary applied area of study participate in this ensemble every semester until completing their degree. Course literature includes music spanning the twentieth century, highlighting British band classics, transcriptions, medleys, and contemporary music. Rehearsal attendance is essential to achieving the course objectives of any ensemble experience. Expectations include knowledge of scales and arpeggios, and proper preparation of individual parts.
