YCP Jr. Summer Music Experience

Making music and making new friends is serious fun for serious musicians!

The YCP Junior Summer Music Experience is a unique summer half-day program for students ages 9 -12. This camp offers curious young musicians the chance to explore not only their own instrument, but many other aspects of music and performance. Our professional faculty will help students hone their developing musical skills through a variety of solo and ensemble opportunities. Students will have the opportunity to perform in small ensembles and progress through their comprehension of music through age-appropriate composition, improvisation and theory classes. Designed for the intermediate musician, this fast-paced week long session will keep students hopping as they meet new friends, learn new music and open their minds to a whole new world of expressive music potential.  New for this year:  Students desiring to participate in select chamber music ensembles must submit their registration before May 1, 2013 and schedule an audition for placement.  Those students will receive their music before the start of the camp.
