The Supply Chain Operations Management major prepares business professionals for managing and improving global supply chains. Supply chains consist of the various suppliers, vendors, transportation companies, manufacturing and/or service centers, distribution centers and retailer/service outlets that create and deliver the product or service to the consumer. Similar to the conductor of a symphony orchestra, supply chain managers coordinate the plans and activities of the various supply chain members to deliver a quality product/service at the lowest total cost.
