How is the degree program in Radiography set up?
During the first two years, students are on the York College campus taking classes to fulfill the General Education requirements of the College as well as the Major Courses requirements for the major. During the Fall of the Sophomore year, students apply to the clinical rotation through Wellspan. During the last five (5) semesters, students are in their clinical rotation in both the classroom setting at a Wellspan facility and in the hospital setting working with patients. These five semesters include the Fall, Spring and Summer of the Junior year and the Fall and Spring of the Senior year. Upon satisfactory completion of the clinical rotation, students are eligible for graduation from York College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree as well as a Certificate from Wellspan. This will allow students to sit for the National Registry Exam offered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (www.arrt.org).
