Academics

Equally focused on professional and academic skill development, York is truly a different kind of college.

At York College, we take academic and professional preparation personally. We're focused on your success, using advisors and professors who know you by name to guide you through choosing a major, selecting courses, and making sure you've done all you need to graduate and jump into your career. Our classes are small — 19 students in an average class — and our teachers are passionate subject-matter experts.

You'll find the phrases "hands-on" and "from day one" often on our site. That's because we cling to those values — we believe the best way to learn is by doing, and by not waiting around to get involved. That means internships, student teaching, cooperative learning, and projects instead of lecture after lecture. Discover what we have to offer below. Not sure what to explore? You're not alone! Most students enter as Undeclared (We've got you covered, there, too.).
