FACULTY HIGHLIGHTS

Dr. Brian J. Furio (EdD, West Virginia University) teaches in the area of interpersonal communication and communication theory. He is a member of the National Communication Association and the International Listening Association. Dr. Furio actively engages in corporate consulting in the area of business communication. Dr. Furio presently serves as Chair of the Music, Art, and Communication Department.

Professor Edward A. Debes II (EdS, Nova Southeastern University) teaches courses in audio production (beginning, intermediate and advanced) and human communication. He is a sound recording professional and was inducted into the Audio Engineering Society in March, 1998. He is also a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Professor Debes is currently serving in the role of Communication Division Coordinator.
 
Professor Lowell Briggs (MA)teaches in the area of advanced video production and public relations.

Dr. Robert A. Carroll, APR (PhD, University of Southern Mississippi) teaches in the area of public relations. He brings extensive professional experience in public relations to the classroom. Professor Carroll previously taught at the University of Southern Indiana and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. An accredited (APR) member of the Public Relations Society of America, he also is a member of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications.

Dr. Thomas V. Hall (PhD, Bowling Green State University) teaches in the area of rhetoric, interpersonal, and mass communication. He is a member of the National Communication Association, Broadcast Educator's Association, and Association of Communication Administrators and actively consults in political, organizational, and media areas.

Professor Robert K. Mott (MA, Regent University) teaches in the area of mass communication-specialty video production. Professor Mott brings extensive experience to the classroom as a producer for a PAX programming affiliate. He has worked freelance for a number of different companies including ESPN 2 and the Family Channel. Professor Mott is currently developing two television shows for release. He is also a member of the Broadcast Education Association.

Professor J. Hope Carroll (EdS, University of Louisiana at Monroe) teaches writing and design courses in the public relations program. She previously taught at the University of Southern Indiana and the University of Louisiana at Monroe and has worked as a public relations consultant.
