The Biology Department hires qualified student laboratory assistants each semester to assist faculty members in the preparation of activities for majors and non-majors labs.  Ideally, students who have successfully taken at least Biology I and/or Biology II and are interested in working as laboratory assistants are considered likely candidates. We have had and will continue to employ students who are not necessarily biology majors but have an interest in working in areas such as greenhouse and aquaria maintenance. There is a short training program and set of protocols that must be completed, in addition to annual safety training sessions.
