Do you have a need to speak and understand basic Spanish due to job requirements? Do you teach? Are you planning a trip to a Spanish speaking Country or are you interested in learning something new? These are good reasons to enroll in the non-credit Spanish Courses offered by the Community & Professional Development Department of York College.
The Spanish speaking population in Pennsylvania and in the York Area in particular, is growing at a rapid pace. This places a responsibility for civil servants, Government workers, teachers, employers and others to learn the basics of the language and it's culture. If you are planning to travel to a Spanish speaking country, this type of understanding will greatly assist you in your travels.
The basic course has been developed for the person who has little or no knowledge of the language and culture. Spanish Basic level I begins where the basic course ends and takes the learner to the next level of comprehension. Both courses are offered Spring and Fall. Please check the schedule listed herein for the next offering.
The instructor(s) who teach these classes have years of experience in the area of teaching, is quite familiar with the culture and communicates quite well with students of any age. Our past student population for the course has ranged from 12 years of age to 77 years of age.
