Dr. Kaltreider received his Ph.D. from Dartmouth College.  At York College, he teaches Biology I, Genetics, Cell and Molecular Biology, and Introduction to Scientific Research.  His research interests are in cancer research and toxic metal biology with a particular focus in elucidating the molecular mechanism by which an agent may potentiate orinhibit the carcinogenic process.
