Where can students find these “real world” opportunities? Many have to look no farther than the York area. A city of 50,000, York is home to the manufacturing and headquarters facilities for several major companies, including Dentsply, Harley-Davidson, Johnson Controls, Graham Packaging Company. For students looking for a more metropolitan work environment, York is a one-hour drive from Baltimore; a two-hour drive from Philadelphia and D.C.; and a four-hour drive from New York City, Richmond or Pittsburgh.
