  • Academic Administrative Assistant

    Full-time twelve-month staff position available immediately in the department of Business Administration.  Responsibilities include assisting in the daily maintenance and organization of daily operations of the academic office and the Women’s Business Center Organization, update and manage social media pages for the Graham School of Business, assist with accreditation documentation, preparation of forms and reports, answer telephone, attend faculty meeting/prepare minutes, and assist faculty and students.  

    This position requires a high school diploma, two to three years’ experience general office experience, advanced computer literacy, excellent organization and verbal skills, and works well under constant interruptions.

    Full-Time second shift position (4 ten hr. days) available immediately. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of campus residents, staff and visitors using community-oriented policing concepts. Duties include enforcing campus rules and policies, upholding PA laws; report writing; emergency response; and acting as a College ambassador.

    Requirements: HS Diploma; valid PA driver’s license; US Citizenship; minimum 21 yrs. of age, and 2 years of armed security or law enforcement experience. or 1 year experience with Act 120 certification, or Assoc.   • Campus Safety Dispatchers

    Part-time staff positions available beginning July 1, 2016. Dispatcher responsibilities include prompt and accurate reception of routine and emergency telephone calls and messages, clear and accurate dispatching of campus safety/police personnel by radio communication; monitoring of alarms and security camera systems; interacting with the public; operating computer systems and the campus switchboard. 

    Position req. HS diploma; 1 yr. exp. in the operation of two-way radios, switchboard equip and/or public safety employment.   • Lead Custodian Position

    Full-Time Lead Custodian Position available immediately on all shifts. Fulfill departmental objectives by leading and directing the work of a team of 3-10 (FTE) housekeeping staff in assigned building(s). Inspect the work of custodial staff when necessary to ensure quality control, safety standards, and compliance with health regulations. This function accounts for 15% of the lead's time. Remaining time spent performing physically intensive and detailed custodial maintenance of York College’s residential, administrative, dining, and support facilities in an assigned area. Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, public corridors, lobbies, offices, classrooms, locker-room facilities, and lounges to expected standards.

    Open positions are as follows:

    F/T staff (2nd shift – 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.)

    Requires High School diploma; valid driver’s license; 2-5 years' housekeeping/event setup experience preferred. Maximum lifting of 50 pounds.  Frequently lifting objects up to 25 pounds, employee must get help if lifting over 50 pounds.  Occasionally pulling and pushing up to 75 pounds.  Ability to operate various housekeeping equipment; and willingness to participate in on-call emergency rotation and work overtime as needed; and ability to work independently.

  • Part-Time Electronic Technician

    Part-Time (10-15 hours/week) Electronic Technician position availability immediately in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Program.  The technician will assist faculty members in organizing, maintaining and purchasing lab equipment/supplies and will assist students in the design and construction of class projects.  Responsibilities include providing support for ECE laboratories, repair and calibration of basic electronic equipment, maintenance and management of ECE equipment and supplies, assisting students with assigned projects, and supervising part-time student workers. 

    Applicants should have demonstrated experience in the electrical or electronics field, organizational skills and who are “student oriented”.  High School degree or equivalent is required. Higher education with technical certifications preferred.

    3rd Shift Custodial Supervisor: 11:00 pm – 7:30 pm; flexibility required 

    3rd Shift Custodial supervisor, Facility Services. Fulfill departmental objectives by leading and directing the work of a team of 10-18 (FTEs) housekeeping staff in assigned building(s). Inspect the work of custodial staff to ensure quality control, safety standards, and compliance with health regulations. Direct, train and coordinate the activities of custodial personnel under their jurisdiction in conjunction with Manger of Custodial Services. Must be pest certified within 9 months of being hired. 

    Requires High School diploma; valid driver’s license; 3-5 years' housekeeping experience preferred. 1-2 years' administrative experience including staff management, and other relevant experience. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines. Must possess broad technical knowledge in custodial management. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook. Understanding and carrying out oral and written directions; working independently in the absence of supervision; establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships.Participate in on-call emergency rotation and work overtime as needed; and ability to work independently.

  • Network Engineer

    Two full-time Network Engineer positions are available immediately at York College of Pennsylvania. Responsibilities include: providing support for wired and wireless networks, network hardware and software installation, monitoring and configuration, maintenance of the campus firewall; managing campus telephone system including updates, hardware and software installations, low level repairs, moves/adds/changes, providing information needed for proper budgeting and chargebacks, and resolution of tickets; performing basic system administration and account management; providing integration services with third party systems including those hosted at external providers; providing training and technical advice on supported technologies; performing other duties as assigned. These positions are in the Systems Group and report to the Senior Systems Administrator. They work closely with other information technology and library staff.

    Requirements for these positions are:

    Associate’s degree or equivalent in a computer related field (such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Engineering, or Management Information Systems) is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 2 years of experience in network management and experience supporting an enterprise telecommunication system preferred. Broad understanding of operating systems including Unix/Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X. Familiarity with administration of firewalls, intrusion prevention/detection systems, VPNs, authentication /authorization systems, and endpoint security techniques. Strong understanding of network and data security principles as they apply to deploying and maintaining business-critical network infrastructure. Familiarity with network management platforms such as SolarWinds. Familiarity with mobile devices, gaming systems, and other Internet appliances. Ability to function independently and in a fast paced environment. Have excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
