  • Executive Assistant

    F/T Staff position available immediately in Campus Operations. Provides assistance to the Dean of Campus Operations in a confidential environment; assist with construction projects and associated budgets; monitor campus utilities for efficiency/cost savings; help organize external vendors and services; interest in furniture acquisition and design or plans; attend and record minutes for the Facilities Committee of the Board of Trustees; attend and record minutes for the Campus Safety Committee; and type, proofread and distribute correspondence. 

    Requirements: 

    Requires high school diploma (2 yr. College degree/post-secondary training pref.); 3-5 years secretarial/office support experience; licensed notary public or willingness to be certified; proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel; excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students, parents, College personnel and general public.

  • Lead Custodian Position

    Full-Time Lead Custodian Position available immediately on all shifts. Fulfill departmental objectives by leading and directing the work of a team of 3-10 (FTE) housekeeping staff in assigned building(s). Inspect the work of custodial staff when necessary to ensure quality control, safety standards, and compliance with health regulations. This function accounts for 15% of the lead's time. Remaining time spent performing physically intensive and detailed custodial maintenance of York College’s residential, administrative, dining, and support facilities in an assigned area. Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, public corridors, lobbies, offices, classrooms, locker-room facilities, and lounges to expected standards.

    Open positions are as follows:

    F/T staff (2nd shift – 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.)

    Requires High School diploma; valid driver’s license; 2-5 years' housekeeping/event setup experience preferred. Maximum lifting of 50 pounds.  Frequently lifting objects up to 25 pounds, employee must get help if lifting over 50 pounds.  Occasionally pulling and pushing up to 75 pounds.  Ability to operate various housekeeping equipment; and willingness to participate in on-call emergency rotation and work overtime as needed; and ability to work independently.

  • 3rd Shift Custodial Supervisor

    3rd Shift Custodial Supervisor: 11:00 pm – 7:30 pm; flexibility required 

    3rd Shift Custodial supervisor, Facility Services. Fulfill departmental objectives by leading and directing the work of a team of 10-18 (FTEs) housekeeping staff in assigned building(s). Inspect the work of custodial staff to ensure quality control, safety standards, and compliance with health regulations. Direct, train and coordinate the activities of custodial personnel under their jurisdiction in conjunction with Manger of Custodial Services. Must be pest certified within 9 months of being hired. 

    Requires High School diploma; valid driver’s license; 3-5 years' housekeeping experience preferred. 1-2 years' administrative experience including staff management, and other relevant experience. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines. Must possess broad technical knowledge in custodial management. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook. Understanding and carrying out oral and written directions; working independently in the absence of supervision; establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships.Participate in on-call emergency rotation and work overtime as needed; and ability to work independently.

  • Full-Time Maintenance

    Full-Time Maintenance (40 hours/week) position with the Maintenance Department is currently available. The assignment will be Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. with half hour lunch during the Academic year. Hours will vary during training period and summer.  Performs general maintenance and utility tasks of various types to care for and maintain all college buildings, and related facilities. Maintain electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment; perform general carpentry functions, but not limited to new construction, refurbishing, painting, roof and masonry repairs, and assist with snow removal. 

    Successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license, and 1-3 years general maintenance experience; excellent customer skills, and able to communicate verbally and written with students, faculty, and staff/administration. Position requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Participate in On-call weekend rotation for emergencies, and occasional overtime; maximum lifting of 75 pounds, frequently lifting objects up to 50 pounds; must be able to use step ladders up to 16’ and bakers scaffolding).

    Job Description:

    A full-time Interlibrary Loan position is available at York College of Pennsylvania. Responsibilities include: managing all aspects of interlibrary loan services, including lending, borrowing, document delivery, and

    E-ZBorrow; assisting patrons and resolving issues; reconciling overdue and lost items; managing copyright as it relates to borrowing and lending; monitoring local electronic and physical holdings for accuracy; assessing current trends and practices and developing relationships with consortial and lending partners; assessing policies, procedures, and documentation to improve services; providing consultation and training to enhance customer service; implementing outreach programs and marketing initiatives to promote and educate patrons about using Interlibrary Loan; compiling statistical data; performing other duties as assigned. In addition, provide support for Periodicals, Acquisitions, and Cataloging. The position will start on February 1st, 2017. 

    Requirements: 

    Associates or Bachelor's degree required. 1-2 years relevant interlibrary loan experience strongly preferred. Academic library experience preferred. 

    Ability to work independently, balance multiple complex tasks, pay attention to detail, and have excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Part Time Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

    The Assistant Director of Athletic Communications will be responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of the York College office of Athletic Communications. Duties will include, but are not limited to, social media programming, statistical operations, web site maintenance, game day operations for athletic communications, game day stories, assisting in in-game video broadcasts, and other duties as assigned by the director. 

    Requirements: The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in sport management or a related field (such as Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism). Experience within a college athletic department is preferred but not required. 

    The candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work with a wide range of personalities within the York College Athletic Department. The candidate should have a strong commitment to working as a part of a collaborative team to achieve the various goals of the Athletic Communications office.

  • Project Coordinator

    The Project Coordinator is a full time staff member responsible for overseeing and administering the funds and programs related to the Sexual Assault, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence and Stalking (SADVDVS) project.  This includes coordinating all SADVDVS prevention and awareness activities, coordinating and implementing any programs or projects related to the Department of Justice grant, and collaborating with campus partners and the community to further the college's sexual assault prevention efforts.  The Project Coordinator works with budgets, reporting, Title IX, and other duties as assigned; attention to detail and demonstrated verbal and written skills are required. 

    Requirements:  ​

    Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology or related field with at least three years of experience working on college campuses and/or in the SADVDVS field required. Master’s degree in the above areas or related areas with experience managing budgets and grant funded projects preferred

    Part-Time staff position available immediately. Thursday thru Saturday from 9:30 p.m. - 2:30 a.m. during academic sessions. Availability to work additional assignment when needed a plus. Responsibilities include; driving students in ADA compliant 21 to 28 passenger bus in various environmental conditions, and expected to assist passengers in need of assistance. 

    Requires; CDL Class B License with passenger endorsement, current DOT Physical Exam Card, good driving record, and ability to work effectively with campus community.

  • Computer Support Technician

    Job Description:

    York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for the position of Computer Support Technician. Responsible for provision of maintenance and user support services for York College and York Country Day School computers and peripherals. The position will start February 1st, 2017. 

    The position diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repair computers and peripherals at York College. Configures and deploys computer equipment. Troubleshoot issues with computer software, printing, and system and administrative tools. Performs hardware and software updates and other maintenance. Collaborate with other Computer Support Analysts for intensive, long-term projects. Support tier 2 service requests for York College and York Country Day School. Provide solutions for support tickets as assigned. Stay current and propose new and changed technologies. 

    Requirements:  

    The ideal candidate should have an Associate’s Degree in Information technology or a related field. Technology Certifications in A+, Microsoft, etc. is preferred. Additionally they should be able to support both PC and Mac hardware. They should have knowledge of dynamic technologies and environments including computer systems. Be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
