  • Adjunct Faculty- Accounting

    The Graham School of Business at York College of Pennsylvania is pleased to invite applicants for an adjunct faculty position in Accounting starting January, 2016. 

    Candidates must have a MAcc or an MBA with Accounting concentration, from an accredited college or university by the start of the initial contract period.  Practical industry experience and Accounting certification is a plus.  Successful candidates should be able to teach at least one of the following:

    Managerial Accounting

    Intermediate Accounting

    Accounting Ethics

    Auditing

    International Accounting

  • Adjunct Faculty- Cognitive Psychology and/or Research Methodology

    The York College of Pennsylvania Psychology Program has Spring, 2017 openings for adjunct faculty in Cognitive and/or Research Methodology.   • Adjunct Faculty – MBA Supply Chain Operations

    The MBA Program in the Graham School of Business invites applicants for an adjunct faculty member to teach MBA 546 Optimizing Supply Chains during Fall 2016. The class will meet once a week in the evening. 

    Candidates must have a master’s degree in Business and, through a combination of education and experience, possess expertise in Supply Chain Operations. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D.

  • Elementary Education, Tenure Track Faculty

    The Department of Education at York College of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for a full time tenure-track appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to begin late August 2016. The faculty member will teach elementary education and general education undergraduate courses, advise students, and supervise field experiences. The candidate should have an established record of Elementary classroom teaching experience. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to effectively teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level. The candidate should possess an earned doctorate in Elementary Education or a closely related field and show evidence of scholarly potential, including established research interests. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team.  Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in teaching grades PreK to 4th.

  • Research/Teaching Fellowship, Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy

    York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for the inaugural Fellow for its Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy to start the Summer or in the Fall of 2017. 

    A joint program of York College’s Center for Community Engagement (CCE) and its Department of History and Political Science, the Public Policy Institute will engage the Fellow and our students in the policymaking process by providing bipartisan research to legislators at the City, County, and State levels of government.  The Fellow will conduct research and work with advanced students to identify and define problems in the greater York community, develop policy approaches to solve those problems, and aim to achieve adoption and successful implementation of specific policy proposals via the Pennsylvania General Assembly and municipal jurisdictions in the South Central Pennsylvania region. 

    The appointee will hold the title of Fellow in the Center for Community Engagement and the rank of Visiting Instructor in the Department of History and Political Science. The fellowship will generally carry a two-year appointment, though in appropriate cases that time frame might be lengthened or shortened to accommodate a specific project.  Among the duties of the fellow will be:

    • Completing an appropriate research project or projects likely to be of interest to local residents, legislators, and civic/business leaders;
    • Teaching one advanced course per semester;
    • Delivering at least two public lectures for the local community;
    • Disseminating the results of her/his research in appropriate scholarly and public venues;
    • Collaborating with students and faculty in other appropriate York College programs such as the Center for Professional Excellence, the Graham and Eisenhart Scholars, and other CCE programming.
    •  Funding will be provided for travel, speakers, and other appropriate initiatives of the Institute.

    Requirements:  The ideal candidate will hold a doctorate in a field directly related to public policy research (though ABD or MPP will be considered).  The successful candidate will have a research agenda well-suited to studying local, regional, and state-level policy, and evidence of scholarly potential.
