The fourth annual Spartan Service Day kicked off Saturday, October 8, with over 200 York College students, faculty and staff eager to help out in the community. Nick McConnell, Director of Operations in the Center for Community Engagement, and Pamela Gunter-Smith, Ph.D., President of York College, dispersed the students from the Continental Square in downtown York to various projects around the community. The College took this opportunity to give back to local organizations such as Creative York, York Rescue Mission, and York County CASA. The service day is a great way for the College to show its appreciation to the community.
